The Assistant Instructor will support instruction, manage small-group rehearsals, and assist with program logistics during twice-weekly after-school sessions on campus, reporting to the Performing Arts Director.

Responsibilities

• Support & lead instruction during after-school violin classes and rehearsals
• Work with small groups or individuals on technique, posture, rhythm, tone production, and repertoire
• Assist with tuning instruments and basic equipment setup/breakdown
• Reinforce rehearsal expectations and positive student behavior
• Help track attendance and student participation
• Support performances, showcases, and culminating events as scheduled
• Communicate professionally with staff and students
• Model professionalism and enthusiasm for music education

Position Summary

Lowell Community Charter Public School (LCCPS) seeks an enthusiastic and dependable Middle School Strings (Violin) Program Instructor to support our after-school performing arts programming. This role is ideal for college-level music students or emerging educators interested in gaining hands-on teaching experience in a dynamic urban school setting.

The Assistant Instructor will work closely with the Performing Arts Director to support instruction, small-group rehearsals, student engagement, classroom management, and program logistics during twice-weekly after-school sessions held on campus.

• Support & lead instruction during after-school violin classes and rehearsals
