Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Research Assistant to join the Injury and Violence Prevention Research Lab at Virginia Commonwealth University in the School of Medicine MBU.

The successful candidate will collaborate with faculty, graduate students, and staff on studies aimed at understanding and preventing youth violence. Responsibilities include supporting research protocols, data collection via surveys and interviews, literature reviews, data entry and analysis,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Science, or a related field.
• Prior research experience in violence prevention or a related field is desirable.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with statistical software (SPSS, R).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of research protocols.
• Collect data using surveys, focus groups, and interviews.
• Conduct literature reviews on violence prevention and developmental psychopathology.
• Data entry, cleaning, and preliminary analysis using statistical software.
• Coordinate with external agencies and stakeholders involved in research projects to schedule intervention implementation.
• Support use of virtual reality in research assessment and intervention.
