Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a Health Education professional to support LVHN Trauma Program. Provides community outreach and education, assisting victims with emotional and medical support and linking them to resources while coordinating with trauma teams.

Bachelors in Health Education or related field with 2+ years in community/health care is required; strong communication and a passion for positive community impact are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree Health Education or related field.
• 2 years community or health care experience.
• Knowledgeable and passionate about making a positive change in the community.

Responsibilities

• Assists LVHN and trauma affiliates with prevention education and training for accreditation/re-accreditation.
• Coordinates marketing efforts with the Marketing Department, EMS, Interfacility Liaisons, and the Development Department.
• Acts as the Liaison between the violence interrupters and other key personnel as identified by LVHN and/or Promise Neighborhood of Lehigh Valley.
• Evaluates programs and presentations for efficacy, efficiency, quality of presentation, and appropriateness of the information.
• Provides injury prevention education and training in communities that are LVHN non-Level I trauma centers and trauma affiliates.
• Develops new injury prevention programs based on community needs and identified injury trends.
• Collaborates with trauma clinical team and Care Coordination team to direct victims to resources prior to discharge.
• Is an active member of the trauma operations and research team at LVHN to provide updates on the project.
