SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Under the direction of the Plant Supervisor, the Set-Up/Operator sets-up and operates the Vinyl Manual to vinyl coat parts. Includes packaging parts and material handling. Responsible for part quality and efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set-up, adjust, and operate machine to vinyl coat parts
  • Sorting and packaging parts
  • Verify quantity & quality of material
  • Complete & maintain all required paperwork
  • Employees are held accountable for all duties of the job
  • Responsible for strict adherence to all company/departmental/safety policies
  • Maintains a safe & clean work environment & departmental housekeeping standards
  • Other duties as assigned or required

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • Highly motivated self starter
  • Requires 1 year of relevant manufacturing experience
  • Regular attendance is required; punctual, dependable
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, tools, or controls
  • Vision abilities; occasionally required to sit, reach above shoulders, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch
  • Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in all temperature variations (summer/winter)
  • Perform all other duties assigned by Supervisor/lead
  • Ability to work well with others on various jobs with Manual Vinyl Machine
  • Ability to work overtime when required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; frequently required to sit and talk or hear; occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
