About this position

Custom Graphics is hiring one person for our install crew.

We put graphics on vehicles, walls, windows, floors, and buildings. No two days are the same job.

If you have installed vinyl before, good. If you have not, we will train you. We are looking for the right person, and we will teach vinyl install to a careful person

What you would actually do

• Clean and prep surfaces so the vinyl sticks and stays stuck
• Lay decals, lettering, and full vehicle wraps – straight, aligned, no bubbles
• Work the problem when the job on site does not match the job on paper
• Travel with the crew, mostly local and regional, with some overnights
• Keep the shop, truck and tools in order

Who does well here

• Patient hands. You would rather do it once and do it right
• You show up, on time, ready to go
• You say something when a job is not right instead of hoping nobody notices
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable record
• Comfortable on a ladder, scaffolding, or a lift, and can move 50 lbs when you need to

Experience that carries over

You do not need a sign background. These all transfer well: window tint, paint protection film, auto body, detailing, painting, drywall and taping, wallpaper, flooring or tile, screen printing, boat and RV work, or anything where you have laid a material flat and true on a surface.

Pay

$20 – $25 per hour depending on what you bring in the door. Full time, 40 hours, Monday through Friday, overtime available.

If you come in with no vinyl experience, you start at the bottom of that range and move up as you can run jobs on your own. If you have a verifiable certification, $27 on up. We will help you pay for your 3M Preferred Graphic Installer certification.

Custom Graphics third-generation decal/sign shop, in Fargo. We have been around for over 25 years. About 40 people work here.

We are not a chain shop. You will be treated like a peer, your opinion will get listened to, and you will not be micromanaged. We will show you how to do the work and then we will trust you to do it. When there is a better way to run a job, we want to hear it from the person running it.
