VINEYARD LABORER

Job Summary

Provide reliable, consistent, and safe labor to perform tasks related to the growing of wine grapes and maintenance of farm property.

Essential Functions

• Plant grapevines.
• Prune, trim, thin, and remove leaves of grapevines.
• Harvest fruit.
• Control weeds, repair trellis, and perform other tasks to grow and care for premium wine grapes.
• Perform property maintenance tasks such as cutting and piling brush, operating a string trimmer, chainsaw, hauling firewood, and maintaining fences.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

• Experience in vineyard management or farm operations preferred.
• Mechanical skills preferred.
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Pass criminal background check.

Physical Description

• Stand and walk on uneven outdoor terrain for extended periods, often wearing a backpack sprayer.
• Perform repetitive and strenuous motions such as stooping, twisting, crouching, and reaching.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly.

Working Conditions

• Primarily outdoors on uneven terrain, with exposure to insects, dust, pollen, fertilizers, herbicides, and fungicides.
• Operate power tools.
• Adhere to safety policies and use personal protective equipment.
