Job summary

Nucor Corporation, located in St. Joe, IN, is seeking Detailers to prepare Field Use Drawings and BOMs using Tekla and VulTek. You will read structural drawings for joists and deck and coordinate with external detailers and Vulcraft engineers on loading in the 3D model.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma; preferred are an associate degree and experience with AutoCAD, Tekla, and Bluebeam. This full-time role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree in Drafting, Design Technology, or related field; AutoCAD or CAD software experience; Tekla or 3D modeling software experience; Bluebeam software experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Field Use Drawings for customers and a Bill of Materials for manufacturing using Tekla and VulTek.
• Read and interpret structural/architectural drawings for Steel Joists and Steel Deck.
• Coordinate details with outside Structural Detailers and with Vulcraft Engineers on design loading in the 3D model.
• Demonstrate safety policies and housekeeping standards at all times; overtime may be required.

Basic Job Functions:

Vulcraft - Indiana has an opening for one or more Detailers.A Detailer is responsible for preparing Field Use Drawings for our customer and a Bill of Materials for manufacturing. These are prepared by using a 3D Modeling software (Tekla) along with a proprietary overlay program (VulTek). Detailers will need to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design requirements related to Steel Joists and Steel Deck and will apply them to the 3D Model. Coordination of Details and Connections with outside Structural Detailers. Work with Vulcraft Engineers on the application of design loading in the 3D model. Ability to work overtime hours when needed to complete projects.
