Job summary

Maniilaq Association seeks a Relief Village Laborer to perform general maintenance at village clinics under the Extended Facilities program in Point Hope, Alaska.

The role involves minor preventive maintenance, moving furniture, cleaning all common areas, snow removal, and assisting with freight and supplies to the clinic. A Alaska driver’s license is preferred and required for coverage. The position is non-exempt and relief-based.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of cleaning agents and proper usage.
• Current Alaska Driver’s license preferred, with a good driving history to be covered by Maniilaq’s insurance.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor preventive maintenance on equipment such as lubricating, cleaning, and changing vacuum bags.
• Moderate lifting of equipment is required, moving furniture by sliding on floor; assistance for heavier items.
• Responsible for maintenance crew cleanup of all common areas and grounds, including ice and snow removal around entryways.
• Assists with support activities such as freight movement for appliances and furniture as well as delivery of supplies to the village clinic.
• Pumps stove oil for the village clinic and garbage disposal to landfill.
• Performs and/or assumes other job or work-related duties as assigned by the Village Clinic supervisor and the Extended Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
