The position involves light to moderate physical tasks, outdoor maintenance, and adherence to supervision under the Extended Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of cleaning agents and proper usage.
• Must be able to work under supervision.
• Current Alaska Driver’s license preferred, with a good driving history to be covered by Maniilaq’s insurance.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor preventive maintenance on equipment such as lubricating, cleaning, and changing vacuum bags.
• Moderate lifting and moving of furniture; assistance with heavier items such as sofas, beds and bookshelves.
• Maintains and cleans all common areas and grounds including ice and snow removal around entryways.
• Assists with freight movement for appliances and furniture as well as delivery of supplies to the village clinic.
• Pumps stove oil for the village clinic and disposes garbage to landfill.
• Performs and/or assumes other job or work related duties as assigned by the Village Clinic supervisor and Extended Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
