Job summary

Kodiak Area Native Association (KANA) seeks a Behavioral Health Aide to provide quality behavioral health services to youth, adults, and families in village settings. This role delivers individual, family, and group counseling, while promoting community wellness through outreach and prevention activities.

The BHA collaborates with clinical teams to ensure culturally responsive care, participates in supervision, and advances through the certification program while maintaining compliant

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 6 months of related experience or training.
• Familiarity with behavioral health services preferred.
• Knowledge of basic counseling techniques, documentation standards, and HIPAA privacy practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports mission and patient-centered medical home philosophy.
• Builds therapeutic relationships with clients based on empathy, trust, and professional boundaries.
• Provides individual, family, and group counseling within training scope.
• Participates in village-based care and crisis response as needed.
• Maintains timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Attends supervision, training, and required meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
