Job summary

Vallarta Supermarkets is seeking a Security Officer to protect premises, assets, and personnel. The role requires vigilance, professional conduct, and excellent customer service. You will patrol, identify security risks, document incidents, and cooperate with law enforcement as needed.

The position emphasizes visible security presence, policy enforcement, and collaboration with the Asset Protection team to prevent losses across multiple store locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or equivalent.
• Prior Security Guard experience preferable.
• Customer Service experience.
• Basic understanding of Spanish and English languages; reading, writing, and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Provide security to the business, occupants, team members, customers, and vendors by patrolling and remaining visible.
• Report incidents and irregularities; enforce company policies and restrain trespassers where applicable.
• Write activity and incident reports, recording observations and surveillance.
• Contact local authorities when needed; maintain relationships with law enforcement and emergency personnel.
• Assist Asset Protection to prevent theft and losses, and support shoplifting arrests as required.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and BSIS regulations; keep licenses up to date.
