Sigma .AI is seeking a Vietnamese linguist for remote freelance opportunities. You will categorize, annotate, transcribe, and evaluate linguistic data across multimedia formats. The role emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and clear communication in English and Vietnamese.

The position is remote and contract-based, suitable for candidates with a Translation and Interpretation background and strong linguistic skills. Training and platform support are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpretation required.
• Native or near-native Vietnamese language proficiency.
• Fluent English with accurate listening and writing and strong spelling.
• Solid understanding of linguistic theory, grammar, and language structure.
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Categorize and annotate linguistic data.
• Correct and transcribe content accurately.
• Evaluate samples and validate audio, video, images, sentences, or words.
• Perform localization and content creation tasks.
• Engage in conversational interactions as part of projects.
• Record voice samples when required.

What Will You Do?

As part of our linguistic projects, your responsibilities may include:

• Categorization
• Annotation
• Correction
• Transcription
• Evaluation
• Conversational interactions
• Voice recording
• Content creation
• Localization
• Validation of audio, video, images, sentences, or words

All tasks are remote, performed through an online platform available 24/7.

This opportunity is offered for freelancers under a commercial contract.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpretation
• Linguist with native or near-native proficiency in Vietnamese
• Fluent in English with the ability to accurately listen and write with excellent spelling and attention to detail
• Solid command of linguistic theory, grammar, and language structure
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
• Computer literacy

Preferred (but not mandatory)

• Experience with one or more of the following: computational linguistics, corpus analysis, language data annotation, or LLM training
• Strong attention to detail

Technical Requirements

Computer:

• Minimum 4GB RAM
• Microphone and webcam

Operating system:

• Windows 10 or higher
• macOS 13 Ventura or higher
• All OS updates installed and supported by the vendor

Connectivity & Accessories:

• Stable internet connection
• Headphones
• Secure internet location, protected by a strong password

For audio-collection projects only:

• Mobile phone with Android OS

Tablets and iOS devices are not supported
