Videographer / Video EditorCompany Description
At SPEEDXMEDIA, we build and scale brands through integrated marketing, advertising, creative, and production. Strategy, media, content, and execution live under one roof, allowing us to move quickly and produce high-quality creative across digital, social, commercial, and branded channels.
We work across multiple clients, industries, and creative formats, so our production team needs to be creatively strong, highly organized, technically capable, and constantly evolving with new production technology.
Role Description
SPEEDXMEDIA is looking for a Videographer / Video Editor who can own video projects from concept and pre-production through shooting, directing, editing, review, and final delivery.
This is a hands-on, full-cycle production role.
We are looking for someone with strong visual instincts who knows how to shoot, direct, edit, light, capture clean audio, and make creative decisions on set. Just as importantly, this person needs to be highly organized and capable of managing footage, project files, versions, feedback, and final assets across multiple projects at once.
AI proficiency is required for this role. You should be comfortable using AI tools across video production and post-production, including AI-generated video, editing, creative development, content repurposing, and workflow efficiency.
You will work closely with our creative, content, marketing, production, and strategy teams on client campaigns, social content, branded videos, interviews, podcasts, advertisements, and internal SPEEDXMEDIA content.
This is a full-time, on-site position in the Los Angeles area.
What You'll Do
- Shoot, direct, and edit high-quality video content for client and internal projects
- Take projects from creative brief and pre-production through filming, post-production, revisions, and final delivery
- Develop shot lists, production plans, lighting, audio, framing, and other on-set requirements
- Create short-form, long-form, branded, commercial, podcast, interview, and social-first video content
- Handle editing, pacing, sound, color, graphics, captions, cutdowns, and platform-specific versions
- Use AI tools for video generation, editing, content repurposing, storyboarding, ideation, and post-production efficiency
- Experiment with emerging AI video and creative tools and integrate them into production workflows when appropriate
- Organize and manage footage, project files, versions, feedback, and final assets within Frame.io
- Maintain clean file structures, backups, archives, naming conventions, and version control across multiple projects
- Collaborate with creative, content, marketing, and production teams while managing multiple projects and deadlines
Who We're Looking For
We want someone who is equally comfortable behind the camera, inside an editing timeline, and working with modern creative technology.
You should have strong creative instincts, but you also need the operational discipline to manage a high volume of video work without losing track of footage, feedback, versions, or deadlines.
You should be able to take ownership of a project from start to finish, make decisions independently, and understand what needs to be captured during production to create a strong final edit.
You should be:
- A strong videographer with an excellent understanding of composition, framing, lighting, audio, and visual storytelling
- A skilled video editor with strong instincts around pacing, storytelling, and audience retention
- Proficient with AI tools relevant to video creation, editing, production, and post-production
- Comfortable directing professional and non-professional talent
- Experienced with professional camera, lighting, and audio equipment
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or comparable editing software
- Experienced using Frame.io for asset management, review, feedback, and version control
- Extremely organized with digital assets, footage, and production workflows
- Able to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines
- Comfortable working across both polished commercial production and faster social-first content
Experience
- 3+ years of professional videography and video editing experience preferred
- Experience producing video for brands, agencies, production companies, creators, or media organizations
- Strong portfolio or reel demonstrating both shooting and editing ability
- Demonstrated experience using AI within video production or post-production workflows
- Experience working with Frame.io or a similar professional video review and asset-management platform
- Experience creating content across social, digital, branded, commercial, and long-form formats
- Experience directing talent or running shoots is strongly preferred
- Agency or production-company experience is a plus
- Formal education in Film, Media, Production, Communications, or a related field is welcome but not required
What Will Make You Stand Out
- You can show us projects you personally shot, directed, and edited
- You can show examples of AI-generated or AI-assisted video work
- You actively experiment with emerging AI video, editing, and creative tools
- You understand both traditional video production and social-first content
- You are exceptionally organized with footage, project files, and production workflows
- You know how to turn one shoot into multiple high-quality finished assets
- You are comfortable working directly with clients, executives, creators, and talent
- Fluency in Armenian and/or Russian is a strong plus, particularly for shoots, interviews, and client-facing production environments
Compensation: $4,000 to $6,000 per month based on experience, with both W-2 and 1099 options available.
