Job summary

MIBOR REALTOR® Association is seeking a Videographer/Photographer to plan, capture, edit, and produce high‑quality visual content that supports communications, marketing, events, and member engagement. You will manage projects from concept through final production, including shoots, lighting, audio, editing, and delivery for digital channels.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of professional experience, a strong portfolio, and proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud.

Qualifications

Job description

The Videographer / Photographer is responsible for planning, capturing, editing, and producing high-quality video and photography that supports MIBOR REALTOR® Association’s communications, marketing, events, and member engagement. Working as part of the Marketing + Communications Team, this position helps tell MIBOR’s story through creative visual content that informs, engages, and connects with members and the communities we serve. This role manages projects from concept through final production, including planning shoots, capturing video and photography, recording audio, editing, and preparing content for digital, social, web, and other communication channels. The ideal candidate is creative, collaborative, organized, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.

Specific Responsibility

• Plans, captures, and edits video and photography for MIBOR communications, campaigns, events, programs, interviews, social media, websites, and other organizational needs.
• Captures event photography, professional portraits and headshots, candid images, environmental photography, interviews, B-roll, and other visual content.
• Sets up, operates, and maintains cameras, lenses, lighting, microphones, audio equipment, stabilizers, and other production equipment.
• Manages lighting, composition, sound, framing, and other technical elements to ensure professional-quality visual content.
• Edits video and photography, including color correction, audio enhancement, graphics, transitions, captions, and other post-production elements.
• Prepares and optimizes video and photography for websites, email, presentations, social media, YouTube, and other digital platforms.
• Manages MIBOR’s YouTube channel, including uploading, organizing, optimizing, and maintaining video content.
• Organizes and maintains MIBOR’s digital photo and video library, including appropriate file naming, storage, archiving, and retrieval.
• Works with team members to incorporate brand elements, graphics, and other creative assets into video and photography projects.
• Helps ensure visual content follows MIBOR brand standards and maintains a consistent look and feel across communication channels.
• Supports livestreaming, virtual programming, presentations, and other multimedia production needs as appropriate.
• Maintains production equipment and recommends equipment, software, and technology needs when appropriate.
• Stays current on photography, video, social media, digital content, accessibility, and production trends and best practices.
• Contributes creative ideas and recommendations for using visual storytelling to strengthen MIBOR communications.
• Contributes to team efforts by supporting related communications and marketing projects as needed.
• Executes other special projects at the request of the Vice President, Marketing and Communications.

Competencies

• Strong visual storytelling skills with creativity and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with professional and mirrorless/DSLR camera equipment, lenses, lighting, microphones, and audio equipment.
• Proficiency with current video and photo editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Lightroom.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud; experience with After Effects, Audition, or similar motion graphics and audio applications is helpful.
• Familiarity with digital and social platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and short-form video formats.
• Understanding of video and photography production for web, social, email, presentations, and other digital applications.
• Ability to manage projects from concept and production through editing and final delivery.
• Strong organizational and file-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to make people feel comfortable on camera.
• Good judgment and professionalism when representing MIBOR at events and in the community.
• Graphic design skills and experience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, or similar design platforms are a plus.
• Willingness and ability to learn new technologies, platforms, and production techniques as the role evolves.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of professional or business experience in videography, photography, multimedia production, digital content creation, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience shooting and editing both video and photography in a professional environment.
• Portfolio or work samples demonstrating video production, photography, editing, and visual storytelling capabilities.
• College degree in communications, marketing, photography, video production, digital media, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications used for photography and video production.
• Graphic design experience is a plus.
• Highly organized with demonstrated ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
