Job summary

Responsibilities

Responsible for moderate level of administrative, logistical, and technical duties in the pre-production and production of live and scripted educational materials. Edits and produces digital assets, both audio and video, electronic still images, and online educational material for use by Mayo Clinic, the Mayo Clinic School of Continuous Professional Development personnel, and for Mayo-commercialized and distributed educational media. Utilizes and demonstrates organizational skills, creativity, self-motivation, and a high degree of content creation and video editing skills.

This position is a combination of remote and on-site work; individual must live within driving distance to any Mayo Clinic campus.

**Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Qualifications

An Associate or Technical Degree in Visual Production, Mass Media or five years of experience in media production in lieu of an associate or technical degree is required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

A background in electronics and/or computer work is essential. Knowledge of analogue and digital video media and mainframe and personal computers with proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs, as well as Adobe, Photoshop, Premiere, iMovie, and other relevant software. Experience with working with databases is required. Requires strong human relations, communication skills, organization skills, and can function independently and within ambiguous environments. Skilled in creativity, graphic artistry, artistic conception, photography and adaptability. Experience with archival technology, typing, adaptability to new technologies and procedures, and medical identification skills. Basic knowledge of medical terminology is helpful. This position must adapt to tight deadlines. Must have high level of emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills to be able to effectively interact with senior level Mayo Clinic personnel and numerous non-Mayo professionals.

This position may be required to work in surgical and procedural areas.
