You will work with the Producer to plan, script, schedule, and edit presentations for each ship, including the Port Talks segments featuring merchants and destination highlights. The role requires 5+ years in broadcast production, mastery of cinema cameras and lighting, and strong editing, motion

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of broadcast production experience and post-production know-how.
  • Proficient editing with cinema cameras and lighting setups.
  • Motion graphics design and music licensing knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong organization and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Videographer is responsible for filming, editing and delivering broadcast-quality programming, promotional videos, merchant features and educational content shown on multiple television channels aboard our partner cruise line(s).

Working with our Producer, the Videographer will capture, create and deliver engaging content filmed across the Caribbean, Mexico and U.S.

Primary responsibilities:

Film all destination-specific Port Shopping television programming shown in guest staterooms

Works with the Producer to plan, script, schedule, film and edit presentations for each ships’

Films our "Port Talks" show, featuring Port Lecturers (your on-board team members),

highlighting participating merchants, destination shopping opportunities, important local

information and exclusive offers

Capture professional, high-quality footage of merchants, products, shopping districts, local

attractions and destination highlights

Film promotional videos introducing new merchants, exclusive collections and seasonal

campaigns

Create original 30-minute entertaining and educational television content covering topics such

as: Fine Jewelry, Luxury Watches, Diamonds, Tanzanite and other destination-specific

products and souvenirs

Responsible for all aspects of video editing, motion graphics, music licensing, color correction,

sound mixing and final rendering

Maintain a comprehensive video asset library for future productions and updates

Ensure all programming follows our cruise line partners’ broadcast specifications and brand

standards

Continuously refresh content to reflect new destinations, merchant additions, promotional

campaigns and changing market trends

Oversee all aspects of video editing, motion graphics, music licensing, color correction, sound

mixing, and final rendering

Requirements:

5+ years of broadcast production experience, including knowledge of the entire creative planning process, editing and post-production

Expert operation of cinema cameras, professional lenses, and studio lighting setups

Professional editing capabilities, motion graphics, royalty-free and music licensing, color

correction, sound mixing and final rendering

Motion graphics design experience, including fluid transitions and text overlays

Detailed-oriented with the ability to carefully proof content prior to finalizing

Extremely well-organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Superior time management skills with the readiness to work highly flexible shifts, including

early mornings, breaking news scenarios, nights, weekends, and holidays

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and turnaround time

Ability to lift heavy gear, stand for hours, and shoot in harsh weather
