Job summary

Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design (RMCAD) seeks a full-time Videographer for its Lakewood campus. The hybrid role requires two on-campus days per week, with evening or weekend event coverage.

The videographer will craft compelling stories for the RMCAD website, social media, advertising, admissions, and events, and may shoot photography as needed. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you will plan, shoot, and edit using DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro, maintain a strong portfolio, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in videography/related field.
• 4+ years of professional videography experience.
• Ability to plan and execute interview lighting setups.
• Knowledge of social media best practices.
• Proficiency in Davinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro; experience with Adobe Audition/After Effects/Lightroom/Photoshop desirable.
• Portfolio of video work.
• Excellent attention to detail and collaboration/communication skills.
• Ability to work as a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, shoot, and edit videos for the RMCAD website, social media, advertising, admissions, and events.
• Occasional photography work and backup to the primary RMCAD Photographer.
• Create compelling video storytelling to support marketing and admissions initiatives.

Job description

Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design (RMCAD) is seeking a full-time Videographer at our vibrant campus in Lakewood, Colorado. This will be a hybrid position, with a minimum of 2 days per week on campus plus event attendance, with occasional night or weekend availability. The videographer will be an accomplished visual storyteller, communicator, and collaborator.

This position will report to the Vice President of Marketing and work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to plan, coordinate, shoot, and edit videos for the RMCAD website, social media, advertising, admissions, and events. It will also require occasional photography work and will serve as a backup to the primary RMCAD Photographer as needed.

The Multimedia Producer creates compelling video and visual storytelling that builds awareness of RMCAD, supports marketing and admissions initiatives, and enhances the student experience by authentically communicating the value of an RMCAD education.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in videography, photography, arts and media, or a related field.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a professional videographer.
• Ability to plan and execute interview lighting setups for a variety of environments
• Knowledge of social media best practices.
• Expertise with Davinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro is required. Additional experience with Adobe Audition, After Effects, Lightroom and Photoshop is desirable.
• Portfolio of video work.
• Excellent attention to detail and collaboration/communication skills.
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

• Experience working in higher education.
• Experience with motion graphics

Additional Information:

• This position will be hybrid and located in Lakewood, CO.
• Less than 10% travel will be required.
• A video portfolio is required for consideration.

Working Conditions + Physical Demands:

The work environment is a typical office environment which may include moderate noise, some evening or weekend hours, confined workspaces, fast work pace with unscheduled interruptions, the need to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and extensive time sitting and working with computers.

Pay Range:

This is a salaried position that will fall in the $65-70k range. The top end of this range is reserved for candidates who exceed all minimum requirements and possess specialized PR and local communications and/or leadership expertise.
