Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson in Hunt Valley, MD is seeking a video producer to create engaging content for projects and clients using in-house gear and editing software. The role blends creative storytelling with brand guidelines.

You will script, storyboard, shoot, edit, and deliver videos through development, production, and distribution stages, with hybrid in-office filming and collaboration with the Brand team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant years of experience.
• 0-5 years of direct experience in video editing and production.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Ability to edit compelling video, audio and multimedia as required by concept and script.
• Strong visual judgment and attention to detail, including an understanding of composition, typography, pacing, color, and visual storytelling.
• Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage project timelines and multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Produce engaging, professional video content for projects and clients using in-house equipment and editing software.
• Collaborate with Brand team and internal/external clients to script/storyboard, shoot, edit, and deliver high-quality video projects.
• Provide wide range of video production services throughout the life-cycle of a video project (development, pre-production, production, post-production, and marketing & distribution)
• Responsible for all video, audio, and motion graphic production, including conceptualizing, storyboarding, planning, shooting, organization and lighting of video shoots, creating graphics, editing, color correction, compression and encoding of videos, and digital asset management.
• Responsible for video strategy and ensuring consistency with JMT’s core messaging and branding, as well as any program goals and objectives.
• Ability to work in a deadline driven environment without compromising creativity.
• Create motion graphics, animated typography, transitions, and other visual elements

Required Experience

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment. Work will also include travel to project sites and carrying heavy equipment up to 25 pounds.

This position is based at JMT's Headquarters in Hunt Valley, MD. Hybrid options are available after the initial training period. In-office coordination is required for filming.

Compensation for this position is$25-$32/hourly, commensurate with experience, education and certifications. The provided range is a good faith estimate based on the requirements described within the job description.
