Job Title- Video Quality Test Engineer

Rate $30-35/hr on W2 Max.

Job Description

• As a software Test Engineer - video you will work with consumer applications testing expertise. You will join the team of hands-on proactive self-motivated and seasoned SQA professionals.

In this role you will:

• Understanding requirements, creating test plans, test cases for new features and executing tests.
• Test video quality and playback across various platforms, Roku, smart TVS, gaming consoles and STB etc.
• Find, isolate, document, regress and track bugs through resolution.
• Interpret and report testing results and be a vocal proponent of quality in every phase of the development process.
• Represent the QA team in project/progress/status meetings.
• Management of Test Results and reports.

Qualification Requirement

• 4-7 years of experience in software quality assurance in an agile environment.
• Industry experience and successful track record in video application and video playback testing on smart TVs (Samsung, LG, Vizio, Hisense), gaming consoles (Xbox and PlayStation test kits), STB etc.
• Industry experience in video streaming technologies HLS, DASH, DRM, DAI, Audio Video codecs.
• Industry experience in Live Tv, video on demand and cloud DVR video streaming work flows.
• Experience in tools Charles/Fidler, Jira, Confluence and TestRail is a must.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, test practices and terminology.
• Knowledge of Samsung Tizen studio, LG TV webOS IDE,Chrome debugger.

Good to have

• Experience in automation testing using any object-oriented programming language (Python, Java).
• Experience in API web service testing.
• Experience in CDN, CMS, CAN.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
