Guided by three pillars – be different, be impactful and have FUNN – the organization has ingrained itself in Central Virginia, annually reaching more than 10,000 students through the club's education programs while making 400-plus community appearances. Additionally, the team has renovated multiple youth baseball and softball fields across the city and awarded numerous scholarships through its 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Flying Squirrels Charities. The Flying Squirrels consistently rank among the top-drawing teams in MiLB having led all 30 Double-A teams in total and average attendance each of the past three seasons.**JOB SUMMARY:**The Richmond Flying Squirrels are seeking a Video Production Manager to execute the creative and strategic vision that elevates our brand, engages fans, and strengthens community connections through video and video-based content. This role ensures a consistent and compelling video presence across all content platforms while managing libraries, operating live events, developing new content, and managing production crews. The Manager will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver compelling and innovative video content, enhancing the fan experience and supporting keyorganizational goals - including the highly anticipated launch of CarMax Park.**RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**• Lead the production, editing, and delivery of video content that supports organizational objectives, including brand storytelling, marketing campaigns, and corporate partnership initiatives.• Organize and execute all video and gameday-related libraries and ensure proper ingestion for execution on gameday: Click FX, Ross Tessera, Ross Xpression, IPTV.• Manage and regularly maintain the Flying Squirrels’ growing audio library.• Conduct regular inspections of AV systems and production equipment to ensure reliability, quality, and optimal performance.• Serve in multiple gameday production roles as needed including Producer/Director.• Oversee scheduling and staffing for the Production Coordinator and event-day crew.• Produce and manage pre-game video content shown from gates open until the start of the event.• Maintain and organize all player-related content including graphics, video, and audio.• Manage instant replay archives and distribute clips to stakeholders upon request (e.g., Corporate Partnership for proofs of performance).• Conceptualize and pitch innovative video and live video-interactive content to grow the Flying Squirrels’ visual brand on social/digital platforms and in CarMax Park.• Manage weekly schedules, assignments, and priorities for hourly Video Production Associates.• Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback for Video Production Associates under the guidance of the Executive Director.• Conduct quarterly check-ins to track Associates’ development and goals.• Support the professional growth of Associates by developing individualized training plans aligned with their career goals and areas of interest (e.g., animation, editing, technical direction).• Manage and mentor marketing staff, interns, and contractors.• Fulfill other Creative Services department and team-wide initiatives as assigned.**QUALIFICATIONS:**• Bachelor’s degree in Video, Multimedia, Sports Production, or related field is preferred.• Minimum 1-3 years of video production experience, ideally in sports, entertainment, or live events.• Proven success in producing and developing video features, executing corporate partnerships, and enhancing a visual brand on digital and social media.• Strong understanding of video production standards and methods, lighting and audio management, and equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud to support and execute both brand development strategies and corporate partnership programming.• Excellent communication and project management skills.• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing creative services team to achieve strategic goals and drive collaborative success.• Creative thinker who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, and dynamic environment with tight deadlines. • Willingness and flexibility to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.**PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
