Job summary

Eagle County Government is seeking an experienced video producer to create compelling content for County departments and partner agencies. You will direct, shoot, edit, and deliver diverse media assets for TV, web, and social platforms.

The role also requires coordinating live broadcasts of County board meetings, emergencies, and events, with strong skills in storytelling and technical problem solving. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Journalism and Mass Communication or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of production-related experience.
• News or similar broadcast experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to drive County vehicle.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Content Creation: develop scripts, capture photo/video/audio, direct, edit and deliver short- and long-form videos, PSAs, and digital media for County departments and partner agencies.
• Live Broadcast Operations: direct and switch live County board meetings, presentations, and emergency broadcasts, managing technical systems and troubleshooting signal flow in real time.
• Creative Strategy & Campaign Direction: translate complex public programs into engaging visual campaigns for TV, web, social media, and internal platforms.
• Technical & Infrastructure Support: maintain video/audio production gear, lighting, switchers, broadcast infrastructure, MAM systems, and post-production workflows.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: partner with elected officials, department leaders, and community agencies to align content with County goals and values.
• Emergency Communications: provide live video broadcast support and media technical support during County emergencies.
