Mercer is seeking a Video Production Intern for the Marketing Communications Office on the Macon campus. The role focuses on filming high-profile university events, producing content for Mercer's website and social media, and editing video under guidance from the Video Producer.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of camera operations, audio, and lighting equipment.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software (Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop).
• Ability to tell a story through filming and editing.
• Ability to work in a team environment or independently and meet deadlines.
• Highly motivated, self-starter with a willingness to learn.
• Preferred: prior related internship or commercial work.

Responsibilities

• Filming quality b-roll footage of high-profile University events (some nights and weekends required).
• Producing content for Mercer's website and social media platforms.
• Filming interviews for ThisWeek@Mercer e-newsletter and Bear on the Street video series.
• Assisting Video Producer with all aspects of video production for larger projects.
• Editing audio and video content as necessary.
• Compiling, organizing, and transferring all footage.
• Reporting to Video Producer and other creative staff to execute concepts through to completion.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
