Job summary

Legacy Church in Albuquerque is seeking a dedicated video producer/editor to capture, edit, and deliver engaging video content for weekend services, events, and ministry initiatives. You will assist with live production, gear setup, and maintenance across Legacy Church campuses in the Albuquerque metro area.

You will collaborate with Creative and Production teams, manage media assets, and support a fast-paced environment while maintaining high storytelling standards and technical quality.

Qualifications

• Personal relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with Legacy Church mission.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's preferred in a related field.
• Experience in video production, videography, editing or digital content creation.
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or comparable editing software.
• Knowledge of cameras, lighting, audio and production workflows.

Primary Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality video for weekend services, special events, ministry activities, and promotional content.
• Edit engaging video content for worship services, social media, websites, announcements, and ministry initiatives.
• Record, organize, and archive sermons and other video assets.
• Create short-form and long-form content that supports the church's vision and ministries.
• Assist with the setup, operation, and teardown of video production equipment.
• Collaborate with the Creative and Production teams to develop compelling visual storytelling.
• Support live video production during weekend services and special events as assigned.
• Maintain an organized media library and ensure proper file management and backups.
• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of video equipment at all Legacy Church campuses in the Albuquerque metro area.
• Respond to emails, phone calls, and text messages within 24 hours.

Preferred Skills & Knowledge

• Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar professional editing software.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, or other creative applications.
• Familiarity with ProPresenter 6.
• Understanding of digital media formats, codecs, and file management.
• Working knowledge of professional cameras, video switchers, lighting, and audio systems.
• Experience operating Panasonic, Blackmagic, Sony, Canon, or similar professional camera systems.
• Basic knowledge of color correction, audio mixing, and motion graphics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced production environment.

General Duties

• Demonstrate creativity, flexibility, organization, and strong attention to detail.
• Maintain excellence in all video content representing Legacy Church.
• Work effectively with staff members, volunteers, and ministry leaders.
• Support weekend services, conferences, outreaches, and special events as needed.
• Assist with maintaining production equipment and workspaces.
• Continue learning new production techniques, software, and equipment as technology evolves.
• Help recruit, encourage, and support volunteers serving in video production.
• Perform other production-related duties as assigned.
• This position is primarily based in a church production environment and may include office, auditorium, and on-location settings.
• Requires flexibility to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and special events as ministry needs dictate.
• Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders may be required during equipment setup and teardown.
• Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work is frequently performed in a fast-paced, live production environment where adaptability, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential.
• Occasional travel between Legacy Church campuses and ministry event locations within the Albuquerque metro area may be required.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in Media Production, Film, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in video production, videography, editing, or digital content creation.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or comparable editing software.
• Working knowledge of professional camera systems, lighting, audio, and production workflows.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• A creative mindset with strong visual storytelling abilities and attention to detail.
• Willingness to receive feedback and continually develop creative and technical skills.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and special events.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience creating content for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and other social media platforms.
• Knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, or other Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
• Experience with live video production, ProPresenter, and Blackmagic Design equipment.
• Photography, drone operation (FAA Part 107 certification is a plus), or motion graphics experience.
