Your New Role

CNN seeks a talented Video Producer to join the team!

Your Role Accountabilities

• The Video Producer is a key member of a lean, close-knit show staff, helping craft the show's visual look by generating impactful visual material for live segments, packages, and teases.
• Proficient in screening media for the best visual elements and editorial sound bites. Assists in research, compilation, production, and editing of pieces.
• Runs tape out of the control room, collaborates with editors on taped segments, and manages changes for later show runs.
• Coordinates and ingests video during breaking news.
• Must be a self-starter with a love for politics, able to generate ideas for guests, questions, and segments, and handle stressful breaking news environments efficiently.
• May require working on weekends or extended hours due to breaking news.

Your Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years production experience in news television.
• Strong news judgment, excellent communication, research, and production skills.
• Good writing skills; may be required to write TV scripts independently.
• Standard knowledge of show production processes.
