About the Role

We’re seeking a versatile Video Producer & Editor to help launch a daily live tech news show. This is a contract role based in New York City, with working hours from 1–9 PM ET to align with the show’s schedule and post-production needs.

The ideal candidate will lead all aspects of production—from managing live streams to quickly editing engaging social clips and podcast episodes. You’ll play a key role in shaping the show’s visual identity, helping to build the set, select graphics, and define the on-air style. This role involves close collaboration with the show’s host and editorial team and offers a unique opportunity to help build a media program from the ground up.

What You'll Do

• Oversee all technical operations for broadcasting a high-quality live news show on platforms such as YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok
• Edit live shows into compelling, platform-optimized clips with social-native graphics
• Set up the NYC-based production space, advising on and managing camera, lighting, and audio equipment; assist in set design
• Assist in booking guests and managing communications and logistics with their teams
• Collaborate with the host on show flow, segment structure, and overall production strategy

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with video and audio editing, particularly for social-first, highly engaging content
• Strong technical knowledge of video production equipment and live streaming operations
• Experience running backend operations for live streams, including real-time graphics on major social platforms
• Experience booking guests or coordinating high-profile interviews
• Familiarity with the tech industry and business news landscape
• Calm under pressure, deadline-driven, and highly organized
• Creative, proactive, and solution-oriented with strong initiative
