Job summary

Easterseals Southern California is seeking a Digital Reporter to craft compelling video stories that inform and engage our audience. You will write, shoot, and edit for digital platforms, often in the field using an iPhone, and deliver timely stories for social media.

Working with senior editors, you’ll identify trends, conduct interviews, and produce live and branded content that supports our mission of inclusion and access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Journalism, Communications or related field.
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in digital or news reporting.
• Must provide 5+ video samples of completed work.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and produce breaking news stories with accuracy and visual impact.
• Create, shoot, and edit high-quality video content for digital platforms.
• Use an iPhone to film content in the field and ensure platform quality.
• Operate independently as a one-person production team when needed.
• Collaborate with editors to transform ideas into engaging video content.
• Attend Easterseals events to produce timely stories aligned with messaging.
