Job summary

Sledge is hiring a Video Editor to own how Sledge looks and sounds in motion, from the cut to the final graphics and sound. You’ll shape raw footage into compelling videos across YouTube, Shorts, Reels, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and the website, for long-form, short-form, and vlogs.

You’ll work directly with marketing and the founding team, sourcing stock or creating original content when needed, and delivering punchy videos on a fast startup timeline.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on video editing experience, ideally in social or marketing content.
• Strong portfolio or reel of videos you edited yourself.
• Prior professional experience editing video in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Prior professional experience with Adobe After Effects.
• Comfortable sourcing stock footage, images, and clips, and creating content from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Turn raw jobsite and interview footage into finished videos people actually want to watch.
• Source and curate stock footage, images, and video clips when material is missing
• Create original content when nothing exists to source or edit
• Cut viral and meme-style social videos for YouTube, Shorts, Reels, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X
• Produce product marketing, SaaS-style, campaign, and PR videos with a fast, punchy style
• Build graphics, animations, and transitions to hold a video together
• Stitch footage, graphics, voiceover, and music into one finished piece
• Record or direct voiceovers and sync music to picture
• Shape the story of each video, not just assemble clips
• Maintain consistent visual/editing style across all videos
• Collaborate with marketing and founding team on fast-moving launch timelines
