This is a Full Time position in the field of Post Production - Editing, Compositing, Motion Graphics, & Visual Effects, located in Los Angeles, CA.

The position pays $95,000.00 — $110,000.00 per year.

We are Sam and Colby! We’re primarily known for our ghost-hunting videos on YouTube. We have an incredible fan base of immensely supportive fans; our main YT channel has over 12M subscribers and 1.7 billion views. You can check us out here: https://www.youtube.com/@samandcolby.

We are looking for an editor who can cut together YouTube videos that will be seen by millions of people. You’ll be working with our lead editor on the main channel content as well as editing content for our other channels/platforms. This will be a full-time, long-term position with many possibilities for growth. Not only will the content you work on be seen by millions of people, you’ll be a valuable team member that directly contributes to the business as a whole.

Qualifications:

1. While this is a remote position, you must be located in North America so that your work schedule can sync with our team’s.
2. You have experience in editing fast-paced YouTube videos.
3. At least 2 years experience working in Adobe Premiere.
4. Skilled in editing, pacing, sound design, and color.
5. You have a genuine passion for YouTube and the creator ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

1. You will be mainly working with our lead editor on the main Sam and Colby channel, though you’ll frequently help with many other projects as well.
2. Cut, trim, and arrange footage. Add graphics, titles, transitions, sound effects, music, etc.
3. Stay updated on the latest YT editing trends and techniques to increase engagement (and to appease the algorithm gods).
4. Add your creative flare to all videos. While we have a style and format we stick to, we’re always looking for ways to innovate and make the content better!
5. Work directly with Sam, Colby, and the other members of our creative team to release content that continues to grow our YouTube channel and other social media channels.
6. Look into analytics to figure out what is working well vs. what is not, and make recommendations for future episodes.
