Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Video Editor to bring compelling visual stories to life through expert editing and post-production skills. In this role, you will transform raw footage into polished, engaging videos that resonate with diverse audiences. Your technical proficiency, artistic eye, and storytelling ability will be essential in crafting high-quality content across various platforms. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects and elevate visual narratives with energy and precision.

Duties

Edit and assemble raw video footage using industry-standard media editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and Avid to create seamless, engaging videos. Enhance videos through color correction, color grading, and editing techniques to ensure visual consistency and appeal. Incorporate motion graphics, visual effects, and animations using Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, Maya, or similar software to add depth and creativity. Manage audio quality by editing soundtracks, syncing audio/video elements, and applying audio processing techniques for clarity and impact. Collaborate with content creators, videographers, and graphic designers to develop compelling video storytelling that aligns with project goals. Utilize content management systems (CMS) and FTP platforms for efficient media organization, storage, and distribution. Apply lighting techniques during filming or post-production to enhance the overall quality of video content.

Skills

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Bridge, and Lightroom for photo editing and graphic design. Strong understanding of videography principles such as lighting for video production and camera operation. Expertise in video storytelling techniques that effectively communicate messages through visual elements. Experience with color correction editing and post-production workflows to produce polished final products. Knowledge of media editing tools like Avid Media Composer and Final Cut Pro for professional editing environments. Ability to create motion graphics and animations using Cinema 4D or Maya for 2D/3D visual effects. Technical proficiency in audio/video processing including sound editing and synchronization for high-quality output. Familiarity with content creation strategies across digital platforms along with content management systems (CMS). Skills in photography, photo manipulation, typography, and graphic design to complement video projects. Experience filming on location or in studio environments with an understanding of lighting setups.
