Job summary

Utah Valley University is seeking a Part-Time Video Editor to bring stories to life through polished, engaging content. You will collaborate with the Studios & Broadcast Services team and campus clients to produce a variety of projects, from single-camera videos to cinema and broadcast productions, using Premiere Pro and the Adobe Creative Suite.

You’ll edit creatively, balance pacing with music and sound, and shape compelling visuals that support UVU and its campus community.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of related full-time experience.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to edit creatively and work independently.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with the Studios & Broadcast Services team and campus clients to produce a variety of projects, from single-camera videos to cinema and broadcast productions. You’ll use your expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro and other Adobe Creative Suite tools to shape compelling visual stories through thoughtful editing, pacing, music, sound, and effects. Summary of Duties

• Assists in video Editing and design.
• Assists in setting up or striking productions.
• Assists in camera production.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned

Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree or any combination of education and/or full-time experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling two years.

Knowledge

• Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of professional editing techniques.
• Knowledge of framing and composition.
• Knowledge of color correction software & techniques.

Skills

• Skills in Premier Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
• Skills in editing audio for video

Abilities

• Ability to edit creatively.
• Ability to create and edit a story from available assets.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
