Position Summary:

Thrill Sports is looking for a highly driven Video Editor who thrives in the world of action sports and loves getting locked in on the edit. This role is for someone who can take raw footage, find the story, build the energy and create compelling content across every format—from linear storytelling, athlete profiles, promotional assets, short-form social and everything in between.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ideate: Create engaging concepts tailored to each platform (In-Venue, YouTube, Social), while ensuring a consistent brand voice and visual identity.
• Edit (Post-Production): Serve as lead editor across hero brand spots, docu-shorts, sizzle packages, and dynamic social cut-downs. Execute offline narrative cuts through to online delivery (color grading, sound design, visual effects pass).
• Motion Graphics & Audio: Build kinetic typography, match-moving elements, custom transitions, and bold lower-thirds. Perform detailed audio mixing, beat-matching, and impact sound design.
• Workflow Management: Manage project media management pipelines, project archiving, multi-cam ingest, and multi-format exports (16:9 broadcast/web, 9:16 vertical, 1:1, 4:5).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of proven experience as a Video Editor or Video Journalist in sports media, entertainment, commercial agencies, or action sports.
• Portfolio/Reel: An exceptional reel showcasing a sharp sense of pacing, story structure, visual hierarchy, camera operation/direction, and sound design.
• NLE Expertise: Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve; fluent in multi-cam workflows, proxy setups, color pipelines, and high-bitrate codecs (ProRes, RAW).
• Motion Design: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects (tracking, rotoscoping, clean titles, speed ramps, visual cleanup) and Photoshop/Illustrator.
• Storytelling Instincts: Keen editorial instincts for sports entertainment narrative arcs—building tension, nailing punchlines, and crafting visceral impact moments.
• Agility: Ability to pivot rapidly between high-finish cinematic promo packages and quick-turn social sizzles without sacrificing production.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background working in high-octane sports, extreme stunts, or live tournament broadcast environments.
