• Solid working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Time in After Effects: titles, lower thirds, and motion elements built to match a brand, or the drive to get there quickly
• Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve and basic color correction, with room to develop your grading work here
• A reel that shows visual storytelling, whether it came from school, freelance work, or your own projects
• Organized. You can keep media, versions, and deliverables straight with several projects open at once
• Clear communication and comfort working closely with creative and technical people on-site
• Willingness to work across departments. Our live events team often needs extra hands, so learning that side of the business and pitching in there is part of the job
• Training in film, media production, communications, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience

Role Description

The Video Editor at SYNC Communications is a full-time, on-site position in the Knoxville metro area. You'll turn raw footage into finished video for client campaigns, live event recaps, and streaming media. Day to day that covers organizing media, building the edit, syncing audio, color correction and grading, integrating motion graphics and titles, and prepping final deliverables in the formats each project calls for.

This is a role for an editor early in their career who wants a lot of reps. We're a small team, so you won't be parked on one kind of project. You'll work alongside our producers, videographers, and motion designers, learn how corporate video actually gets made for real clients, and build a reel that covers brand work, event recaps, and live streaming. There's a path here into producing and into our live events side if you want it.

Compensation

$40,000 to $45,000 per year, depending on experience. Flexible hours and paid vacation time.
