Job summary

ROR Studioz in the United States seeks an Editor to shape narrative structure, pacing, and emotional impact of our film projects. You will assemble raw footage into polished, cohesive stories, working closely with directors, producers, and post‑production teams to elevate quality.

You will edit video and audio, refine timing and transitions, integrate visuals or graphics, ensure continuity, and incorporate feedback.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in film editing or related field.
  • Proven editing experience in film/television.
  • Proficiency with non-linear editing software and workflows.
  • Strong communication and ability to meet deadlines.

Role Overview: As an Editor at ROR Studioz, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the narrative structure, pacing, and emotional impact of our film projects. You will work closely with directors, producers, and post-production teams to assemble raw footage into polished, cohesive, and engaging visual stories while leveraging your technical expertise and creative flair to elevate the quality and effectiveness of our films.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review raw footage, select best takes, and assemble them into sequences that align with the script or creative vision.
  2. Collaborate with directors and producers to refine story arcs, character development, and thematic elements through editing.
  3. Edit video and audio tracks, adjust timing, pacing, and transitions, and incorporate visual effects or graphics as needed.
  4. Enhance visual and auditory elements to optimize storytelling impact and audience engagement.
  5. Ensure continuity, consistency, and coherence across scenes, shots, and sequences.
  6. Incorporate feedback from directors, producers, and other stakeholders to refine edits and achieve desired results.
  7. Work closely with sound designers, composers, and colorists to integrate audio, music, and color grading into final edits.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends, editing techniques, and post-production tools to enhance skills and productivity.
  9. Adhere to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards while managing multiple editing projects concurrently.
  10. Uphold company policies, standards, and legal requirements related to content creation and distribution.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film Editing, Media Production, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Film Editor or similar role in the film industry.
  • Proficiency in non-linear editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.
  • Strong understanding of editing principles, techniques, and storytelling conventions.
  • Excellent visual and auditory aesthetic sensibilities.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency in editing.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with creative teams and adapt to evolving project requirements.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard post-production workflows and technical specifications.
  • Passion for storytelling, visual expression, and cinematic artistry.
