Job summary

The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, DC offers a six‑month multimedia production internship with the iDeas Lab. You will support video and audio production across CSIS podcasts and video series, working closely with a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include editing, pre‑production research, and content curation for our digital platforms. The internship provides practical experience and portfolio development with a competitive hourly pay scale.

Qualifications

• A./B.S in relevant field (or rising senior).
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, including operating in a fast‑paced environment and managing competing priorities.
• Adobe Suite experience a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, initiative, and follow‑through skills.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary video editor for CSIS vertical video series, including Asked and Answered; and YouTube versions of CSIS podcasts.
• Produce videos for CSIS video series including The ReCap and Testify.
• Assist with studio set‑up and editing of video interviews.
• Source B‑roll and music for CSIS video products, and assist with pre‑production research as needed.
• Edit full‑length podcast episodes and other audio features using Adobe Audition.
• Curate video and audio content on our websites, social media platforms, and other content delivery networks.
• Assist our developers, producers, and designers with other tasks as needed.
