Job summary

The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Executive Education Program offers a full-time, six-month paid internship in Washington, DC, beginning September 2026. The intern will assist with program development, execution, outreach, and administrative support across all program components.

Compensation is hourly and varies by degree level ($18.40/hr for undergraduates, $19.40/hr for holders of a bachelor’s, and $20.40/hr for master’s candidates).

Qualifications

  • Interest in learning and development, education, and event management.
  • Interest in foreign policy or international relations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills in a professional setting.
  • Enthusiasm for challenging assignments that demand creativity.
  • Event management and/or project coordination experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide event management support.
  • Create content for Executive Education’s social media accounts.
  • Compile data on CSIS programming.
  • Assist with program operations and administration.
  • Organize outreach efforts, such as writing newsletters.
  • Survey market competition and prospective donors.
  • Conduct background research on programming, learning and development best practices, and marketing strategies.
