Position Summary

POSTING FOR UNMC / UNO EMPLOYEES ONLY

Lead Video Specialist responsible for the management of the Milestone XProtect security video systems at UNMC /Nebraska Medicine and UNO . Ensure all video systems are operating at peak efficiency by coordinating hands-on evaluations of each camera in use, documenting the cameras age and warranty information, proper camera views and lens condition. Ensures up to date documentation of each security camera, server and other associated video equipment. As the system expert and lead technician, provide technical guidance on proper camera location and optimum coverage for given applications. Provides training and guidance to other security video specialists. Reviews and ensures proper camera coverage for new installations and projects. Trains UNPPSD Law Enforcement and Campus Security Officers and investigators on the use and capture of video evidence.
