The Victim/Witness Program, operating under the Henry County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Program Director to assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the office. This position supports the Director in reducing the trauma of victimization and encouraging victims of crime to participate fully in the criminal justice process. It plays a vital role in providing direct services to victims and witnesses in accordance with the Crime Victim and Witness Rights Act. This role requires professionalism, empathy, and a strong understanding of victims’ rights.
Minimum qualifications include an associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school. A degree in a human services or criminal justice-related field is preferred. Candidates should have six months to one year of related experience and/or training in a human services or criminal justice-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
This position is primarily funded through grant support, including Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funds, as well as state and Special Funds. The salary range for this position is $45,227 to $51,836 annually ($24.85 to $28.47 per hour), based on a 35-hour work week. The actual salary will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
