Job summary

South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services seeks a Victim Services Coordinator to provide a full range of services to crime victims within the 7th Judicial Circuit (Spartanburg & Cherokee counties). The role requires coordination, training, outreach and collaboration with services partners; travel across counties is required, including overnight stays.

Required: high school diploma (bachelor's may substitute) with related experience; preferred associate’s degree in social

Qualifications

• High school diploma or related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree may substitute for related experience.
• Two years’ experience in related work (preferred with an associate’s degree).
• Associate’s degree in criminal justice, social work, psychology, sociology, education, counseling or other social/behavioral science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of victim services and coordinate all aspects within the 7th Judicial Circuit.
• Provide Victim Awareness Training to Department staff and support trainings for OVS.
• Represent SCDPPPS in inter- and intra-agency victim services efforts and conduct outreach.
• Travel across judicial circuits; some overnight travel may be required.
