Responsibilities

  • Supervise an assigned caseload to ensure compliance with program, court, and referring agency requirements.
  • Conduct client assessments, develop case plans, evaluate progress, and participate in staffing meetings.
  • Assist clients in obtaining community resources to support reintegration.
  • Monitor client accountability, collect supervision fees, and verify documentation.
  • Prepare reports for courts and refering agencies and testify in court when required.
  • Maintain accurate case files and documentation with timelines.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between victims, Case Managers, Probation Officers, courts, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure victims receive timely notifications required by law and court order.
  • Advocate for victims by providing information on resources and rights.
  • Document victim concerns and communicate with staff appropriately.
  • Participate in victim advocacy meetings and ongoing professional training.

POSITION SUMMARYThe Victim Assistance Case Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive case management services for community corrections clients while also serving as a liaison and advocate for crime victims. This position divides responsibilities equally between supervising offender caseloads and ensuring victims receive timely communication, advocacy, and support in accordance with court requirements and applicable laws.The position ensures compliance with contractual obligations, court orders, victim rights statutes, and company policies while maintaining accurate documentation, confidentiality, and exceptional customer service.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSCase Management Responsibilities (Approximately 50%)Supervise an assigned caseload of clients to ensure compliance with program, court, and referring agency requirements.Conduct client assessments, develop and maintain case plans, evaluate client progress, and participate in case staffing meetings.Assist clients in obtaining community resources that support successful reintegration.Monitor client accountability through telephone contacts, office visits, field visits, drug and alcohol testing, observations, and verification of submitted documentation.Review and oversee client financial obligations, collect supervision fees, and complete required deposits.Monitor client behavior and compliance with program conditions, recommending or implementing disciplinary actions when appropriate.Prepare reports for courts and referring agencies and testify in court when required.Maintain accurate electronic and physical case files while ensuring all required documentation and timelines are met.Victim Assistance Responsibilities (Approximately 50%)Serve as the primary liaison between victims, Case Managers, Probation Officers, courts, and other stakeholders.Ensure victims receive timely notifications required by law and court order.Advocate for victims by providing information regarding available resources, services, and victim rights.Listen to and document victim concerns, ensuring concerns are communicated appropriately to supervising Case Managers and Probation Officers.Process victim notifications, document responses, submit modification requests, and maintain required tracking logs.Monitor offender case activity to ensure victim rights and notification requirements are consistently met.Maintain accurate victim files and communication records while protecting confidentiality.Participate in victim advocacy meetings, committees, and ongoing professional training.Provide guidance and support to staff regarding victim advocacy best practices.SHARED RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain strict confidentiality of client and victim records.Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted within required timelines.Comply with all applicable federal, state, local, contractual, and company policies and procedures.Maintain professional working relationships with courts, probation departments, treatment providers, community agencies, victims, clients, and other stakeholders.Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with individuals in difficult or emotionally charged situations.Participate in required training and continuing education.Domestic travel may be required.Perform other duties as assigned.EEOC DISCLAIMER: Recovery Monitoring Solutions provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, or any other protected status under applicable federal, state, or local law.
