Commander, Navy Installations Command is seeking a SAPR Victim Advocate in the Fleet and Family Readiness Department (N91) at NVSUPPACTMID SOUTH. You will facilitate care and provide non-clinical support to adult victims of sexual assault and harassment.

Applicants must meet OPM education standards or possess a combination of education and experience. A transcript submission is required. This position is Telework eligible and requires a Secret security clearance with a closing date of 2026-11-12.

Qualifications

• Possess a degree in behavioral or social science or related discipline; or combination of education and experience equivalent to the major.
• Substitution of education for experience: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a related discipline.

Key Responsibilities

You will serve as a Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) Victim Advocate (VA), facilitating care and providing non-clinical support to adult victims of sexual assault and sexual harassment.

Requirements & Education

Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: Successful completion of a Ph.D.

or equivalent doctoral degree in a related discipline appropriate to the position OR Successful completion of 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements. NOTE: You MUST submit a copy of your transcripts. Failure to do so will result in an ineligible rating.
