Job summary

GlobalLogic seeks a Vice President of Sales to drive growth in FinTech and banking sectors, owning bookings targets and personally closing deals. You will build and lead a focused Southeast sales team, engaging fintech founders, bank CIOs and technology leaders to modernize platforms with AI, cloud and data solutions.

The role requires extensive enterprise sales experience, a strong regional network, and the ability to shape multi‑service offerings across data, AI, and platforms.

Qualifications

  • 18+ years in enterprise technology services sales, with at least 8 years selling to fintechs and/or banks.
  • 3+ years in sales leadership (Director or VP level) within a digital engineering, IT services, systems integrator, or consulting firm.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding annual bookings quotas of $20M+, and of personally closing multiple deals above $5M TCV with fintechs or banks.
  • Established network of active relationships with fintech founders and technology leaders and with bank decision-makers, ideally concentrated in the Charlotte & Atlanta markets.
  • Working command of product engineering, data platforms, AI/GenAI, and cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Familiarity with fintech business models and regulatory context for banks and fintechs (PCI‑DSS, SOC 2, KYC/AML).
  • Experience selling within a global delivery model (onshore/offshore/nearshore).
  • Strong negotiation skills, executive presence, and comfort operating at the pace of high‑growth companies.

Responsibilities

  • Own a new‑logo bookings target and a defined list of target accounts across banks, credit unions, payment processors, fintechs, insurers, and asset and wealth managers in the Southeast.
  • Create pipeline proactively through direct outreach, executive networking, referrals, and partner introductions, rather than relying on inbound RFPs.
  • Personally lead pursuits from first meeting through discovery, solution shaping, negotiation, and contract, closing new deals of $2M–$20M TCV.
  • Land initial engagements — assessments, pilots, proofs of concept, or focused engineering teams.
  • Build trusted relationships with technology and business buyers (CIO, CTO, CDO, COO, Chief Digital Officer, Head of Payments, Chief Risk Officer).
  • Expand newly won accounts into multi‑service programs across data, AI, product engineering, platforms, and cloud.
  • Hand off mature accounts to client partners with a clear growth plan, while staying engaged as executive sponsor where needed.
  • Lead the commercial narrative in pursuits, partnering with solution architects, delivery, and practice leaders on proposals and RFP responses.
  • Translate client priorities into clear, compelling service offers and three priority segments: payments, wealth management, and regional banks.
  • Structure commercial models that include pilots, dedicated engineering teams, and outcome‑based programs.
  • Co‑sell with hyperscalers and platform partners to source new‑logo introductions.
  • Build relationships with analysts to get onto shortlists and represent GlobalLogic at BFSI events.

Job description

GlobalLogic is seeking a Vice President of Sales to drive growth with FinTech’s and banks, with a focus on the West Coast market. This is a hands‑on commercial leadership role: the VP will own a fintech and banking bookings target, personally originate and close new business, and build a focused team of sellers. The portfolio spans data, AI, product engineering, platforms, and cloud services.

The ideal candidate is a proven hunter with deep relationships across the West Coast fintech ecosystem and regional and national banks — someone who can engage founders, CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and bank CIOs on scaling platforms, modernizing banking technology, and adopting data and AI, and convert those conversations into long‑term engineering and transformation partnerships.

Job Description
  • 18+ years in enterprise technology services sales, with at least 8 years selling to fintechs and/or banks.
  • 3+ years in sales leadership (Director or VP level) within a digital engineering, IT services, systems integrator, or consulting firm.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding annual bookings quotas of $20M+, and of personally closing multiple deals above $5M TCV with fintechs or banks.
  • Established network of active relationships with fintech founders and technology leaders and with bank decision-makers, ideally concentrated in the Charlotte & Atlanta markets.
  • Working command of product engineering, data platforms, AI/GenAI, and cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), enough to lead credible conversations and shape solutions with pre‑sales teams.
  • Familiarity with fintech business models (payments, lending, banking-as-a-service, embedded finance) and the regulatory context for banks and fintechs (PCI‑DSS, SOC 2, KYC/AML, bank‑partner oversight).
  • Experience selling within a global delivery model (onshore/offshore/nearshore).
  • Strong negotiation skills, executive presence, and comfort operating at the pace of high‑growth companies.
Job Responsibilities
New Account Opening
  • Own a new‑logo bookings target and a defined list of target accounts across banks, credit unions, payment processors, fintechs, insurers, and asset and wealth managers in the Southeast.
  • Create pipeline proactively through direct outreach, executive networking, referrals, and partner introductions, rather than relying on inbound RFPs.
  • Personally lead pursuits from first meeting through discovery, solution shaping, negotiation, and contract, closing new deals of $2M–$20M TCV.
  • Land initial engagements — assessments, pilots, proofs of concept, or focused engineering teams — that create a foothold in new accounts.
  • Build trusted relationships with technology and business buyers (CIO, CTO, CDO, COO, Chief Digital Officer, Head of Payments, Chief Risk Officer).
Account Growth
  • Expand newly won accounts into multi‑service programs across data, AI, product engineering, platforms, and cloud.
  • Hand off mature accounts to client partners with a clear growth plan, while staying engaged as executive sponsor where needed.
Solution Selling & Deal Shaping
  • Lead the commercial narrative in pursuits, partnering with solution architects, delivery, and practice leaders on proposals and RFP responses.
  • Translate client priorities — core and digital banking modernization, real‑time payments, fraud and KYC/AML, data and AI platforms, GenAI and agentic AI adoption, policy and claims modernization, cloud migration — into clear, compelling service offers.
  • Bring tailored offers to three priority segments: payments (real‑time and cross‑border payments, payment platform modernization, fraud prevention), wealth management (advisor and client digital experience, portfolio and data platforms, AI‑driven personalization), and regional banks (core modernization, digital banking, cloud migration, and data and AI adoption at mid‑market scale).
  • Structure commercial models that make it easy for a new client to start, including fixed‑price pilots, dedicated engineering teams, and outcome‑based programs.
Ecosystem & Market Presence
  • Co‑sell with hyperscalers and platform partners (AWS, Microsoft, Google Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks, Salesforce, Temenos, Guidewire, etc.) to source new‑logo introductions.
  • Build relationships with sourcing advisors and analysts (ISG, Everest Group, Gartner, Forrester) to get onto shortlists.
  • Represent GlobalLogic at regional and national BFSI events (Money20/20, FinTech South, Charlotte and Atlanta fintech and banking forums) and work with marketing on targeted campaigns.
  • Build and lead a small team of new‑business account executives as the Southeast territory grows.
  • Run a disciplined sales rhythm — prospecting targets, pipeline and deal reviews, CRM hygiene, and weekly and quarterly forecasting.
  • Partner with delivery, pre‑sales, alliances, and GlobalLogic’s broader business units to win as one team.
How Success Is Measured
  • New‑logo bookings against target, with healthy deal margins.
  • Number of new BFSI clients signed in the Southeast each year.
  • Net‑new qualified pipeline created, at 3–4x the annual target.
  • Conversion of initial engagements into larger, multi‑service programs.
  • Forecast accuracy and the strength of the territory and team built.
