Qualifications

  • 12 years of experience applying user-centered design methodologies in complex product ecosystems, with AI-driven design preferred.
  • Mastery of design tools such as Figma and FigJam; experience with AI design tools (e.g., Figma Make, Lovable).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating advanced UI design and the ability to deliver both hands-on execution and strategic direction.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, align cross-functional teams, and mentor junior designers.
  • Well-versed in Agile product design practices and the software development lifecycle (SDLC), with experience integrating design into iterative delivery models.
  • Can direct self and others in planning and structuring the work, and executing on expected levels of quality.
  • Experience in designing for financial services or payments solutions a plus.

Your Team Responsibilities

We’re seeking a VP of UX Design to lead the vision and execution of transformative experiences for the GP Solutions segment within MSCI’s Private Assets business. This senior individual contributor role blends hands‑on design with strategic influence, shaping next‑generation solutions including AI‑led product design. You’ll collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners and the wider UX design team-ensuring alignment, breaking silos, and driving cohesive outcomes-while guiding product direction through your expertise.

Your Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full product design lifecycle-from discovery and ideation through delivery and iteration-ensuring intuitive, cohesive, and scalable experiences.
  • Design innovative interaction models for complex and AI‑driven features, with a focus on usability, trust, transparency, and end‑user value.
  • Act as a thought partner to product, engineering, and business leaders-shaping requirements, influencing priorities, and aligning roadmaps through design expertise.
  • Actively break silos by fostering collaboration across functions, ensuring user needs remain central in decision‑making and execution.
  • Deliver high‑fidelity UI and UX assets, including dashboards, data visualizations, prototypes, and user flows that reflect both design precision and strategic intent.
  • Contribute in agile sprints, guiding implementation with clear design specifications while ensuring quality execution.
  • Mentor and inspire junior designers, modeling best practices in design thinking, problem‑solving, and user advocacy.
