Job summary

Kroll in New York is seeking a Vice President for Transaction Advisory Services to lead tech due diligence on buy/sell engagements and oversee large software projects. You will analyze code bases, manage data analytics initiatives, and drive BI solutions to support management reporting.

The role requires 8+ years in M&A technology diligence or equivalent, with strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise within Transaction Advisory Services.
• Work on buy/sell-side technology due diligence engagements.
• Analyze software code bases and development lifecycle; write SQL code.
• Manage internal and external client and large software development projects.
• Oversee IT project technical aspects; write specifications and develop open-source solutions.
• Analyze large data sets; develop data analytics and dashboards for management reporting.
• Leverage business intelligence to improve efficiencies and cost savings.
• Lead ETL initiatives using SSIS, Dell Boomi, Jitterbit and other tools.
• Identify post-acquisition steps to optimize savings and procurement of technology initiatives.
• Assist clients in identifying pre- and post-acquisition transaction issues.
• Contribute to reports and final deliverables.
• Travel as needed; supervise teams and client relationships.

Job Description

Our Transaction Advisory Services practice provides seamless analytical advisory through the deal continuum, from transaction origination to closing.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Within Transaction Advisory Services practice, technical expertise to the firm.
• Work on buy /sell-side technology due diligence engagements
• Analyze software code base, software development lifecycle for a software, design software and write custom SQL code to develop a software
• Manage internal and external customer and large software development projects
• Manage technical aspects of IT projects, write technical specifications and develop solutions using open source codes, microsoft.net and plug-ins.
• Analyze and mine large volume of financial data and develop data analytics and dashboard tool for management reporting
• Strong experience in business intelligence is desired.
• Manage large ETL projects and develop solutions using SSIS, Dell Boomi, Jitterbit and other third-party products.
• Identify post-acquisition steps to optimize savings and improve efficiencies and cost by supporting implementation of technology initiatives
• Assist clients in identifying pre- and post-acquisition transaction issues
• Contribute to the report-writing process
• Minimum of 8 years related work experience in M&A technology due diligence or equivalent
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or information systems
• Fluent in Alteryx, Power BI or Tableau software is a plus
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and client relationships skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with focus on Word and Excel
