Job summary

BNY is seeking a VP for Third Party Application Engineering – Eagle Performance in Boston to lead data ingestion, performance calculation, and reporting. You will partner across business and technology teams to define requirements and deliver scalable Eagle PACE-based solutions for performance processing.

The role requires strong SQL and Python skills, experience with data warehousing/ETL, and a background in investment operations within an Agile setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Typically 6–10 years of experience in performance engineering or related areas.
  • Strong experience with Eagle PACE Performance or related Eagle platforms and data flows.
  • Experience in performance measurement, reporting, or investment operations.
  • Understanding of performance calculation concepts and data inputs.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business and technology teams to gather requirements and translate needs into functional specs.
  • Analyze performance workflows, reporting processes, data lineage, and control points.
  • Work with financial data domains: holdings, transactions, pricing, FX, benchmarks, and account data.
  • Configure Eagle PACE Performance calculation setup, parameters, and controls.
  • Support measurement workflows: calculation, validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Collaborate on data integration, warehouse mapping, and downstream reporting solutions.
  • Validate outputs, reconciliations, data quality checks, and reporting results.
  • Ensure consistent business definitions across Eagle and downstream consumers.

Vice President, Third Party Application Engineering – Eagle Performance

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Third Party Application Engineering – Eagle Performance to join our Performance & Compliance Engineering team. This role is located in Boston, MA.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with Eagle PACE Performance, investment data workflows, and performance reporting. In this role, you will partner across business and technology teams to define requirements, analyze workflows and data dependencies, and deliver scalable solutions for data ingestion, performance calculation, reporting, and operational processing.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with business and technology teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into functional requirements, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Analyze and document performance workflows, reporting processes, data lineage, business rules, and control points.
  • Work with financial data domains supporting performance processing and reporting, including holdings, transactions, pricing, FX, benchmark, reference, cash activity, corporate actions, and account data.
  • Configure, maintain, and document Eagle PACE Performance calculation setup, parameters, system settings, and related controls.
  • Support performance measurement workflows, including calculation, validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Partner with engineering and data teams on data integration, warehouse mapping, and downstream reporting solutions.
  • Validate calculation outputs, reconciliations, data quality checks, and reporting results.
  • Ensure consistent business definitions across Eagle, reporting platforms, and downstream consumers.
  • Lead testing, implementation, and change management for new and enhanced workflows and reporting capabilities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Typically 6‑10 years of experience.
  • Strong experience with Eagle PACE Performance or related Eagle platforms, including data flows, business processes, performance workflows, and reporting.
  • Experience in performance measurement, performance reporting, or investment operations.
  • Understanding of performance calculation concepts, data inputs, configuration dependencies, and controls.
  • Strong understanding of financial data used in performance and reporting.
  • Experience documenting workflows, system interactions, data mappings, and functional requirements.
  • Strong SQL skills for validating data, reporting logic, and calculation outputs; Python is a plus.
  • Experience with data integration, APIs, data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and downstream reporting solutions.
  • Experience with reconciliations, exception handling, and workflow/data quality controls in financial data environments.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across business, operations, and technology teams.
