Vice President, Technical Accounting Advisory

Join to apply for the Vice President, Technical Accounting Advisory role at Kroll.

We are expanding our Technical Accounting Advisory practice to provide specialized technical accounting advice across the deal continuum, from pre-deal assessments to post-close financial reporting. The team collaborates with Transaction Advisory Services, Tax, and Valuations to serve our clients effectively.

We seek a high-caliber individual eager to build on their technical knowledge and commercial experience, aiming for a leadership role with a clear career progression to Director and Managing Director.

Day-to-day Responsibilities
  • Identify efficient solutions to technical accounting and transaction issues and deliver these to clients.
  • Lead technical accounting workstreams, including preparing and reviewing technical memos, workbooks, and disclosures.
  • Assess complex accounting issues such as revenue recognition, financial instruments, share-based payments, and GAAP conversions.
  • Collaborate across practice areas and deliver excellent client service.
  • Develop internal and external relationships and contribute to leadership initiatives.
  • Research and resolve client problems independently and with colleagues.
  • Support business development efforts.
Essential Traits
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA Certification required.
  • At least 5 years of US GAAP technical accounting experience, especially ASC 805, 606, 718, 815, 470.
  • Experience in public accounting and technical memo writing.
  • Interest in M&A advisory, due diligence, PPA, and related areas.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, marketing, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience working with diverse teams.
