Boston Medical Center is seeking a Director of Clinical Operations to manage and improve surgical services across various departments. The position involves strategic planning, operational management, financial oversight, and human resources coordination. The position, under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, is responsible for partnering with chairs to develop strategies for and run clinical operations across multiple departments: Anesthesiology, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Surgery, and Urology. It also supervises the Executive Director of Procedural Operations who manages operating room capital budgets, recommends block allocation changes, and staffs the OR Executive Committee for the hospital. The incumbent leads multidisciplinary strategic projects, ensures daily operations meet quality improvement, fiscal accountability, productivity, and patient satisfaction goals/objectives established by the leadership team.
$270K – $310K (based on minimum job qualifications). Base pay is determined by education, experience, skills, certifications/license, business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market‑competitiveness.
