Job description

Vice President Strategic Operations, IM Development

The Vice President, Strategic Operations plays a central role in ensuring operational excellence, strategic execution, and stakeholder alignment within the IM Development team. This role supports both internal business management and external client development efforts, bridging process management, strategic initiatives, data governance, technology adoption and cross-functional collaboration. The VP Strategic Operations will contribute directly to ICONIQ’s growth and effectiveness by reinforcing proactive accountability, refining internal communications, and driving data-informed decision-making across the team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead internal pipeline management processes and reporting across prospect funnel activities, ensuring systematic execution and relationship continuity.
  • Facilitate cross-functional network mapping and relationship tracking to support business development initiatives.
  • Drive strategic communication efforts, including bespoke and standardized outreach, and coordinate with key internal stakeholders to enhance prospect engagement.
  • Champion a culture of “uncommon care” through thoughtful prospect follow-ups and institutionalized exchanges.
  • Project manage special initiatives, client onboarding processes, partner office requests, and internal strategic deliverables.
  • Enhance infrastructure through CRM data quality oversight, Salesforce optimization, and integration of new technology solutions including AI tools.
  • Own KPI tracking and reporting, ensuring data integrity and actionable insights. Drive accountability across the team.
  • Lead initiatives in client network mapping, competitive intelligence, and referral tracking to support business growth.

Ideal Candidate Background:

  • 8+ experience in a project management, business strategy or related strategic operational management role.
  • Demonstrates commercial acumen, with experience in Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Wealth Management, or Asset Management preferred.
  • Experience driving cross-functional collaboration across matrixed teams.
  • Strong proficiency in data analytics, reporting, and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Familiarity with AI tools and a desire to explore their applications in process optimization and productivity is a plus.
  • Experience in an operational delivery, Chief of Staff, or similar strategic delivery role at a financial services organization or consulting firm ideal.

Location: Applicants are expected to work onsite in our San Francisco office in accordance with our hybrid working policy.

Compensation Range: ICONIQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At ICONIQ, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation terms. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $200,000-$250,000 together with the benefits listed above.
