Description

Mission of the Role (What you’ll be doing):

As Director of Strategic Account Services, you will lead one of the most vital growth engines of our business. This is a high-impact, high-visibility leadership role responsible for accelerating profitable growth through the development and expansion of national and multi-location strategic accounts. You will lead a high-performing cross-functional team, influence enterprise-level strategy, and drive innovation in how we engage, serve, and grow our largest and most complex customers.

Key Duties & Accountabilities (Primary responsibilities & quantifiable measurements):

  • Lead the Strategic Account Services business unit, overseeing sales, operations, and customer service while aligning strategically with finance and procurement teams.
  • Drive new business growth by directly engaging with key multi-location accounts and managing the strategic sales process.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue, margin, and profitability targets while aligning department efforts with overall company goals.
  • Integrate and centralize account management for strategic and national accounts—including retail and convenience store segments—into a unified service platform.
  • Expand business development in targeted high-potential vertical markets and emerging channels such as E-commerce.
  • Launch and lead the E-commerce catalog initiative, ensuring cross-functional alignment with ERP systems and business operations.
  • Champion consultative, program-based selling using our PMP and Managed Services value proposition to deliver measurable customer value.
  • Set clear, actionable goals and KPIs for the Strategic Account team and regional sales leaders—focused on behavior, revenue growth, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to drive strategic account expansion and maximize wallet share from existing customer relationships.
  • Partner with marketing to execute targeted campaigns, lead generation, and outreach to high-value prospects.
  • Manage all stages of the sales process for high-profile accounts, from lead qualification through final close.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, process optimization, and best practice sharing for scalable growth.
Qualifications

  • Proven success in sales leadership and strategic account management, with a track record of building customer-centric programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive growth across complex, multi-location national accounts.
  • Deep understanding of consultative sales practices and pricing strategies aligned with customer outcomes and margin protection.
  • Exceptional communication, influence, and relationship-building skills across all levels of an organization.
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution skills and adaptability in dynamic, fast-paced markets.
  • Experience in the packaging industry is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
