Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Vice President, Software Engineer in New York, NY to design and develop large-scale distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services for onboarding trading and post-trading workflows across asset classes such as Equity and Options. You will design Order State Management components and participate in scrums and deliverables.

Telecommuting is permitted up to 2 days per week, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and high-quality software delivery.

What you’ll bring to the role:

-Requires a Bachelor’s in Educational Technology, Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, or a related field of study.

-Requires five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a Assistant Manager Technology, Technology Lead, Systems Project Manager, Technology Specialist, or related occupation in the technology field.

-Requires five (5) years of experience with the following skills:

• Java;
• Unix;
• MQ;
• Relational Databases;
• Unit testing;
• Shell Scripting;
• MS SQL Server;
• Spring Framework;
• Hibernate;
• XML; and
• Web Services (RESTful or SOAP).

-Requires four (4) years of experience with the

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $175,000 and $210,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
