Job description

Vice President, Release Train Engineer II

We are seeking a Vice President, Release Train Engineer II to join our team in Jersey City, NJ. The Release Train Engineer (RTE) acts as a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART), facilitating development events, assisting teams in delivering value, and driving continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include facilitating ART events, managing risks and dependencies, coaching teams in SAFe and Agile methodologies, and acting as a liaison among stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating Agile Release Train (ART) events and processes
  • Supporting teams in achieving objectives and delivering value
  • Communicating with stakeholders and escalating impediments
  • Managing risks, dependencies, and ensuring alignment with strategy
  • Driving continuous improvement and integration
  • Coaching leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Agile practices
  • Managing and optimizing program flow, facilitating PI Planning
  • Tracking and reporting on progress and value delivery
  • Promoting SAFe adoption within teams
  • Acting as a liaison between Engineering, Product Management, and Practice teams

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field; advanced degree preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Lean-Agile principles and frameworks, especially SAFe
  • Experience in managing agile projects of varying complexity
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and drive decisions
